Linux Gold Corp. has an interest in 5 major properties with locations in Alaska, China and Canada. In April 2005 the company aggressively staked an intriguing new 37 square mile area called GRANITE MOUNTAIN on Alaska's Seward Peninsula where Teck Cominco, NovaGold and Northern Dynasty have attained success in locating significant reserves of zinc, gold and copper. The world's largest zinc deposit owned by Teck Cominco is approximately 180 miles north with over US$20 billion worth of zinc reserves in which they are producing 500,000 tons of ore annually. NovaGold on both sides of Granite Mountain has an approximate 25 million ounce gold reserve and significant reserves of silver and copper throughout Alaska. To the south, Northern Dynasty owns the rights to purchase the world class Pebble gold-copper-molybdenum porphyry deposit where they have an inferred mineral resource of approximately 28 million ounces gold and 16.4 billion pounds of copper. Linux Gold Corp recommends seeing the Properties Section for further information about the exciting prospects of Granite Mountain.
The early part of 2004 Linux ventured into China near the Mongolian border. The company has an option to purchase 100% of the shares of Ginyen Recovery, Inc., a private company which can earn an 85% interest in an option to explore, lease and develop all minerals in the 100 square mile Bo Luo Nuo District of China. The property hosts 10 gold zones (3 main mines) with a proven history of mining and producing gold by bucket and hand for many years. The key is to explore and prove-up reserves, then upgrade mining facilities to modern day standards. Preliminary test results are very encouraging - discovery leverage is favourable. Stay posted for developments.
Linux owns earn a 50% interest (Teryl Resources Corp. has the option to earn 50% interest) in 30 mining claims known as Fish Creek. Located in the Fairbanks Mining Division in Alaska, Kinross Gold's Fort Knox mill is within 6 miles of Fish Creek. Fort Knox has been in operation for several years, which is producing approximately 400,000 ounces of gold annually. The Fish Creek property has potential to host lode and alluvial gold deposits. There is possibility for a low-cost placer mining operation. Linux can back in for a 25% working interest after Teryl spends $500,000 on exploration. Drilling and testing is moving forward.
In the second quarter 2003, the company acquired 100% interests in two gold prospects located in the Lillooet Mining Division, British Columbia. The adjacent TY and ORO properties are located within 6 miles from the Bralorne Pioneer Gold Mine, among one of the richest gold mines in Western Canada, which since its discovery has produced some 4.1 million ounces of gold. Linux intends to explore these properties when the price of gold is favourable.
Linux management team excels in negotiation and closure of capital financing and property acquisitions. We look forward building a successful mining company and leveraging our shareholders to the price of gold and other valuable minerals such as silver, platinum, copper, uranium, zinc, lead, tin and molybdenum.
